Beach Trip 2011

Let me start by saying, this trip couldn't have come at a better time. Our life has been a bit upside down these days. Between Jeremy changing jobs (twice) and me deciding whether to go back to work, we really needed this break. We so appreciate BB and James inviting us to join them at their family's condo. The last time Jeremy and I went on a true vacation...one that he wasn't working during the trip...was the summer before Jude was born. Every other trip to the beach has been for his work trips. Fun for me, not so much for him.

I'm happy to say that the trip started off great because Jeremy found out that he had gotten a new job that he was really excited about. It really allowed us to truly relax and enjoy the time together before he started his new job. BB, me and the kids went down earlier in the week and the menfolk joined us over the weekend. It was pretty low key. We cooked dinner every night, hung out by their awesome kiddie pool, and actually read a book and watched a movie.

The kids got along great, with the exception of Jude having to learn that he couldn't push/hit Emily Grace. A few time-outs later and he got the gist. And Emily Grace learned that she liked playing with cars. I was really embarrassed that he was being a bully, but very pleased when he learned to be a gentleman.

The kids had a great time playing in the hallway. Jeremy joined in on the fun. This entertained them for a good 15 minutes.
