Happy Easter!

Easter this year was really fun and a pleasant surprise. We dyed eggs with my niece and nephew. We used to do that before I moved to Mobile. It was nice to get back to the tradition. And we hunted for Easter eggs with Emily Grace. I really didn't think that Jude would go for the egg hunt. I figured it would be another photo op for us moms. He actually found eggs (once they were pointed out) and put them in the basket.

Always a Groomsman...

Many people ask me how we still have friends getting married. Most of my college friends are married off, so now it's Jeremy's turn. We've been on a wedding circuit the past month and a half. This past weekend we were in Mobile to marry off one of Jeremy's fraternity brothers and also childhood friend, Ray. It was a beautiful wedding and the reception was so much fun! If you are looking for a unique venue for a party in Mobile, look no further than The Courtyard on Dauphin St. It has a gorgeous outdoor patio and indoor seating, too. Ray and Scarlett really know how to throw a party!

Jude now has a new favorite activity. It was bound to happen, even though I try to limit his exposure. He loves to lounge in Wrigley's chair and watch tv. And not just any tv, his preference is Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Good thing it has such a catchy theme song. Hot dog, hot dog, hot diggity dog....how can you go wrong with those lyrics?

I know what you may be thinking. Why is that chair covered in a furry blanket? Was I trying to take an Olan Mills inspired picture? Nope. That's Wrigley's chair and we have to keep it covered so she doesn't mess it up. Of course, Jude would love the same spot that Wrigley does. He travels from dog bed to dog bed. Poor Wrigley! She can't catch a break!

Dothan

Last week I went to Dothan to help out my mom after her toe surgery. I worry that we were more work than help. But, that's the beauty of a one year old. They can certainly provide entertainment and a welcome distraction.

We celebrated my birthday while visiting. In this video, Jude has devoured the cake. He is finally getting the taste for sweets. This is the first time he has shown any interest in them. I guess that's probably a good thing.
